Super Tuscans are typically mostly Sangiovese with a Bordeaux or Rhone varietal blended in to give more tannin, color, or long finish. In this case, the 80% Sangiovese offers light cranberry, raspberry, pomegranate, while the 20% Merlot rounds it out nicely with some dark, black pepper. It’s deep and heady. La Zingara (Italian for "Gypsy") is cellar-worthy and pulling out the decanter for this wine will pay off, especially with a meal.
